Hi friends! Welcome back!
I just love the Tin Tile Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up! and I really wanted to create a Christmas card using it. Well here it is! #thinkingoutsidethebox
Using the Sponge Brayer, I rolled the Balmy Blue ink on the inside of the Tin Tile Embossing Folder (the side that has the Stampin' Up! logo on it). I put a piece of Whisper White card stock inside the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting/embossing machine. I just love the way it turned out! I took the embossed piece and layered it on a piece of Balmy Blue card stock.
I took a small strip of Balmy Blue card stock and stamped, 2nd generation, with Balmy Blue ink using one of the stars from the So Many Stars stamp set. I got out one of my makeup blender brushes and applied a little of the Balmy Blue ink on a strip of Feels Like Frost DSP. I thought that looked better than the bright white. This made the DSP blend nicely with the rest of the card. I adhered these two pieces together and then attached it to the embossed piece using glue. While I had my blender brush out I sponged some of the Balmy Blue ink on the Metallic Silver Edge Ribbon. You can change that ribbon to be any color you want. So cool!! I attached a strip of the ribbon across the front of the card layer and taped it down in the back of the embossed piece. I took another small piece and tied a knot on the strip of ribbon.
Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White card stock and punch out with the 1-1/2" circle punch. Then stamp, 2nd generation, Balmy Blue ink using a small star from the stamp set on the circle sentiment. Die cut a Balmy blue scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Dies. Pop up the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach this whole layer to the front our your Whisper White card base.
The party continued on the inside with a sentiment from So Many Stars stamp set stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a snowflake looking stamp in Balmy Blue ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock and layered on a piece of Balmy Blue card stock.
There you go! A beautiful Christmas/Winter card. Try to think outside the box when using your goodies from your craft stash. You will be surprised what you can create!
